Self test 5G.3A
Why do we have to use the net ionic equation for Self test 5G.3A? In other words, when do we use the complete equation and when do we use the net ionic equation to write the equilibrium constant?

In this question, we use the net ionic equation because the reaction involves fully dissociated ionic compounds in the solution. Since the same ions appear on both sides of the equation, you need to use the net ionic equation to calculate the equilibrium constant based on the ions and other substances that change in the reaction.
