Week 2 Question 6A.19

Postby Carolina Gura Dis 1B » Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:11 pm

Hi, for this homework question the problem as you to calculate the molar concentration of OH- in the following H3O+ concentrations. Although I understood how to solve parts a) and b) I was confused about part c) for the given concentration is 3.1 M, but in the answer the value that is being used is 3.1x10^-3. I was wondering if this was some kind of typo, but if not where did the 3.1x10^-3 come from

Yes that question has a typo, it is supposed to be 3.10x10^-3 M. You can check all textbook typos in the Solutions Manual Errors file on BruinLearn.
