Finding K in 5I.7

Postby Sam Joslyn 1G » Thu Jan 10, 2019 10:47 am

Looking at the answer for 5I.7, it appears that a method for finding K is used that works with delta G and natural log. Should we be familiar with this method?

No we're not supposed to know that stuff (yet). G refers to Gibbs Free Energy, and that's a central term in thermodynamics. We'll probably go over that later on in the quarter, but for now, we don't need to know it.

The only method we need to know for now is the method we were taught in lecture (note how 5I.7 is not included in this unit's homework problems).

From what I know,we would be expected to know the method taught during lecture and in the modules for now.
