Removing products

Would removing the products in an equilibrium reaction affect both Q and K or just Q?

I think it would just affect Q, since K shouldn't really change. WIth the change of the concentration of products, the Q will tell us which way the equation will shift to reestablish equilibrium.

I think it would affect the ratio definitely, but since K is being manipulated it would no longer be K, it would be Q, so I think Q would be the one affected

Only Q should be affected because q is in terms of what is happening during the reaction. K is just the overall equilibrium constant and it should not change.

K is the equilibrium constant so it doesnt really change as it is based on when the equation is at equilibrium. However Q is not a constant and is when the reaction is not at equilirbium. Hence Q should be the only one that changes.

K does not change because it is a constant. If you remove products, the reaction would move to favor the production of more products to reestablish equilibrium. Therefore it would be Q that would change

I believe the only way to change K is to change the temperature of a reaction.

Removing the products would just affect Q since K only changes when temperature changes. According to one part of the Le Chatelier's principle , when a system at equilibrium is disturbed by a change in concentration of one of the components, the system will shift its equilibrium (Q would change ) until it reaches equilibrium.

When removing chemicals from either side of a reaction, the the equilibrium quotient will change however not the equilibrium constant. The products and reactants would reach the equilibrium level after sometime but the final concentrations from each side will be different than when you started. Additionally, the k constant will only change as a response to a change in temperature (favoring endothermic reactions when temperature is increased) and pressure (favoring reactions with fewer particles [shorthand] when pressure is increased/volume is decreasing).
