Percent Protonation
For percent protonation is it the final concentration of the weak base over its initial concentration x100 or the concentration of the conjugate acid over the initial concentration of the weak base x100?

Re: Percent Protonation
it is the concentration of the conjugate acid over the concentration of the initial base multiplied by 100

Re: Percent Protonation
I believe it is the concentration of the conjugate acid over the initial concentration of the base multiplied by 100.

Re: Percent Protonation
Percent protonation is calculated the second way you mentioned, which is % protonation=concentration of conjugate acid / initial concentration of weak base x 100 (or the opposite if you start with a weak acid).

Re: Percent Protonation
Percent protonation is the concentration of the conjugate acid over the initial concentration of the weak base multiplied by one hundred.
Re: Percent Protonation
It is calculated by dividing the concentration of the conjugate acid by the concentration of the initial base and multiplying that by 100.
