Le Chatelier's principle

Postby Belinda_Ho_2L » Sat Mar 16, 2024 2:57 pm

For a made up reaction in equilibrium involving a solid in the reactants, if we added more of that solid, would the system produce more products?
I'm unsure because it is a solid so it might not have an effect, but I was wondering if that may change Q.

Hi! Le chatelier's principle does not apply to solids, since they do not affect Q.

Hey, I believe if we add more solids wouldn't affect the equilibrium and it would just stay the same.
