This was a question in the course and I'm not sure if we went over it in lecture:
For the reaction N2(g)+3H2(g) (--->)(<----) 2NH3(g)
How would you increase increase the yield of ammonia without adding more reactants?
Thank you.

Re: Increasing yield without adding reactants
One can decrease the volume of the container (increasing pressures of all gases)
Re: Increasing yield without adding reactants
I sure did cover it in class. Increase the yield by removing the product. I also discussed this in reference to engineering and industry where production plants are designed to remove product to ensure reactants are used up in forming product.
