test 4 question

Postby Sammy Thatipelli 1B » Sat Nov 25, 2017 1:03 pm

Will LeChatlier's principle be on test 4? for example, do we need to know how equilibria responds to changes in conditions? This is shown in Part 4 Chemical Equilibrium's module

I believe so, if it is covered in the HW and lecture.

I checked Dr. Lavelle's website and it says that Test 4 will include material from chapter 11 from 11.1 to the end of 11.8, and LCP is mentioned before the end of 11.8 so I would understand what it states to be safe. Also on the chemical equilibrium outline, this is the last bullet:

"Use Le Chatelier's principle to predict how the equilibrium composition of a reaction
mixture is affected by: adding or removing reagents; compressing or expanding a
gaseous mixture; and by raising or lowering the temperature."

Yep, I think it's safe to assume it will be covered. Since test 4 will be from 11.1-11.8.
