acids and bases

Postby FrankieClarke2C » Fri Jan 18, 2019 5:08 pm

Is there any trick to memorize the strong acids vs the weak or is it mainly just memorization?

I memorized the most common six strong acids and bases which is not that tough. You can find them here: ... and-bases/. Hope this helped!

Other than understanding, when given the Ka/Kb, the greater the Ka(or Kb) the stronger than acid then it is just best to memorize them. And since there aren't many it should be easy and soon enough you'll be able to easily identify a strong acid or base.
