Injecting noble gasses
Does injecting noble gasses to a reaction vessel with constant volume do anything? Why or why not?

Re: Injecting noble gasses
It does not affect the direction in which the reaction will proceed in because since the volume is constant the concentrations of reactants and products will be the same. Concentration is mols/volume and adding an inert gas will not affect volume.

Re: Injecting noble gasses
It changes the pressure but does not change the volume of the solution. Thus, the molar concentration will not change and it will not affect the equilibrium.

Re: Injecting noble gasses
Injecting an inert gas will change the total pressure of the system, but it will not change the partial pressures of the other compounds/elements. As such, the equilibrium constant doesn't change!
Re: Injecting noble gasses
Noble and inert gasses will cause no shift and no change in equilibrium constant

Re: Injecting noble gasses
Noble/ Inert gases do not affect the equilibrium or shifting of the equation at all. This is because the partial pressures of the gas do not change within the reaction.
