Hard/Soft Water

Hi guys! Could someone please clarify the differences between hard and soft water? Thank you!

Hi! If I'm not mistaken, hard water contains more minerals like Ca and Mg, while soft water does not have these, and instead has a higher presence of Na.

Because hard water contains more mineral ions like Ca2+ and Mg2+, it's more alkaline than soft water.

I think it's helpful to think of "soft" water as water that either naturally or through some kind of filtration process, has the minerals that are common in "hard" water removed.

Unlike soft water, hard water contains more mineral such as Ca+ and Mg2.
