HClO2 vs HClO

What is the logic behind HClO2 being stronger than HClO? Why does having more oxygen make an acid stronger?

Any compound with a high EN and more oxygen atoms will be more acidic. An extra O atom contributes to making the oxidation state of Cl higher. Hope this helps!
