Acids and bases
Does anyone have shortcut or tips to determining what acids/bases would be stronger than others?

Bond strength & Bond polarity:
-the smaller the atom the stronger the bond strength
-When going down a row in the Periodic Table, the atoms get larger so the strength of the bonds get weaker, which means the acids get stronger.

Re: Acids and bases
Strong Acids: HCl,HBr,HI,H2SO4,HClO4,HClO3, HNO3
Strong Bases: LiOH,NaOH,KOH,RbOH,CsOH,Ca(OH)2,Sr(OH)2,Ba(OH)2
These are the strongest acids and bases, which is dependent on the composition.

Is this true for every row in the periodic table?
Also, this was really helpful!!!
-thank you so much.
