Does pH increase or decrease as H+ concentration increases and why?

pH decreases when [H+] increases because H+ is what makes a solution acidic. [H+] increasing is the same as saying [H3O+] is increasing and pH=-log[H3O+]

Increasing the H+ concentration makes the solution more acidic, and since stronger acids rank lower on the pH scale, increasing [H+] decreases pH.

pH would decrease if H+ would increase since it is the main factor that determines the pH.

Due to the fact that when concentration of [H+] increases, the substance becoming more acidic, the pH will be affected In the aspect that it will decrease.

pH decreases when H+ increases because the addition of hydrogen ions make the solution more acidic, lowering the pH
