How does electronegativity affect the strength of acids?

Hi. So this is true when applied to oxoacids, acids that contain an oxygen atom. The more electronegative, the more acidic an acid is because more electronegative means a higher polarizability, which makes the oxoacid more acidic.

Oh, that clears a lot up I think I was getting confused with oxoacids and just regular acids. And thanks for the explanation as well, so helpful!
