Text Book Question 6D.7

Postby Sophia C » Thu Jan 26, 2023 2:10 pm

How are we supposed to find the initial concentration of a weak acid if we are only given the pH of the solution?

Hi!

In the context of this question, you can just use 10^-pH to obtain the [H3O+]. You then need to make an ICE table and use the Ka for HClO from either Table 6C.1 or Table 6C.2. Please see the solutions manual on BruinLearn for more assistance.

Hope this helps!
