Bases - "soft" salts

Postby Zoe Kaiser » Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:41 pm

Reading through my notes, I'm confused over the sentence that bases are alkaline due to "soft" salts? I'm not sure what that means, or if it has something to do with anything we learned about salts/bases later? I'm not sure what it means

I think the "soft salt" is referring to the cations in the type of salt. Not all bases or alkaline solutions are considered "Soft" salts swell.
