Hard/soft water clarification

Postby Tiao Tan 3C » Fri Dec 11, 2020 8:07 am

Dr. Lavelle mentions soft water is alkaline and hard water is acidic in lecture.
But all my google results tell me that "hard water is more alkaline and has a higher mineral content than soft".
Which one should I believe in? Or does it depend on specific situations?

I believe hard water is alkaline (meaning more basic) and soft water is more acidic. Hard water had a soapy feel and soft water has an almost dry feel.

I agree I think hard water is alkaline, I think Dr. Lavelle just mixed it up during the lecture.
