Strength of Compounds

Do amphoteric compounds tend to have smaller Ka and Kb values, since they can easily donate or accept a proton?

I believe you are correct because amphoteric compounds exhibit characteristics of both acids and bases. Its ability to donate a proton (like an acid) and accept a proton (like a base) is not as pronounced as in strong acids or strong bases. Making the equilibrium constants generally smaller.
