Amphoteric with H+

Postby Samantha Burmester 3H » Sat Dec 08, 2018 8:30 pm

Is amphoteric only associated with H2O?
And is amphiprotic only associated with the donor of a Hydrogen proton?
Or are they descriptive words for other atoms or compounds as well?

They work for other molecules as well (if you have a molecule with a Nitrogen with a lone pair and a carboxyl group for example it would be amphiprotic)
