A amphiprotic molecule can both act as a proton acceptor and donator. It has both the characteristics of an acid and a base.

Amphiprotic means that the molecule can both receive and donate protons. Amphoteric means that the molecule can act as both an acid and a base. All amphoteric molecules are amphiprotic, but not all amphiprotic molecules are amphotertic

Amphiprotic compounds can both donate and receive H+ so they can act as an acid and a base.

It can both accept and donate protons (H+), meaning it can also act as either an acid or a base.

An amphiprotic molecule can act as both an acid and a base.
