2C.1 part c

Hello! I was confused by the textbook saying that OH is not a radical. When I drew it, oxygen has an e- that doesn't have a 'pair', why wouldn't this make it a radical? Thanks!

Hi Imogen, for me, when I look at the Student Solutions Manual for Topic 2C, Question 1, it states that (b) and (c) are radicals. OH is part (c) of the question, so I believe that the answer key does call OH a radical. This makes sense as there are only 7 valence electrons available to form the Lewis Structure of OH, which would leave us with one unpaired electron.
