Lewis Acid Electron Donation

Postby 305987474 » Wed Jan 24, 2024 8:28 pm

How does the strength of a Lewis acid affect its ability to accept or donate electron pairs?

A strong Lewis acid easily accepts electron pairs due to electronegativity, or an acid being a cation. Meanwhile a strong Lewis base easily donates an electron pair.
