bronsted acid vs. lewis acid

can a molecule be a bronsted acid and a lewis acid at the same time?

they're both the same thing, just defined differently
bronsted acid is proton donor while lewis definition of acid is electron acceptor

Yes they can be both at the same time, however a substance does not always have to be both.

Because the definitions differ a little bit in that one is broader than the other, can one be a Bronstead acid without being a Lewis acid.

The Bronsted definition: an acid is a proton (H+ ion) donor, and a base is a proton acceptor;
The Lewis definition: an acid is an electron acceptor, and a base is an electron donor.
