Do we need to know what Arrhenius Acids & Bases are??

I'm not completely sure if we have to know Arrhenius acids or bases, but Arrhenius acids are just substances that dissociate into protons in the water. Arrhenius bases are substances that dissociate into hydroxide ions in water.

I don't think we have to because they were never mentioned in lecture. Arrhenius acids and bases are extremely narrow in terms of their definition, so I think you'll be ok with the definitions of Bronsted and Lewis acids and bases.
