We will need to be able to identify when a reactant is an acid, but my discussion was told it will not be ambiguous.

We will probably have to know types of acids generally and their corresponding strengths.

I would study the methods to determine the strength of different acids and how to order them by strength given a list of acids.

I think knowing the concepts behind bronzed acids and bases as well as lewis acids and bases is also important.
