Re: 6 strong acids
I don’t recall them all during the lecture, but on the chempendix it says that the 6 strongest acids are Perchloric acid HClO4, Hydrochloric acid HCL, Phosphoric acid H3PO4, Nitrous acid HNO2, Hydrofluoric acid HF, and Carbonic acid H2CO3. Hope this helps!

Re: 6 strong acids
I don't think he mentioned all of the strong acids yet but there a total of 7 strong acids:
Hydrochloric acid (HCl), Hydrobromic acid (HBr), Hydroiodic acid (HI), Perchloric acid (HClO4), Nitric acid (HNO3), Periodic acid (HIO4), Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4), Chloric Acid (HClO3)

Re: 6 strong acids
Hi! The 6 strong acids listed in our textbook are HCl, HBr, HI, H2SO4, HNO3, and HClO4. Additionally, depending on the source, some consider HClO3 a strong acid as well. Since Dr. Lavelle only mentioned 6 strong acids, he likely counts HClO3 as a weak acid but I just wanted to include this one for future reference!

Re: 6 strong acids
The six strong acids are HI, HBr, HCl, H2SO4, HClO4 and HNO3. HClO3 could also sometimes be considered a strong acid, but since Dr. Lavelle said there were six, just don't count it as a strong acid for his class.
