Calculations for Acids and Bases

Postby Sera Aintablian 2E » Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:32 am

Are we going to be expected to know buffer calculations and general titration calculations for acids and bases for the final?

I don't believe we will need to know very specific aspects of the concepts you listed. Those seem to be highlighted more in Chemistry 14b. Plus in the lecture, Dr. Lavelle mentioned that we wouldn't be going in-depth into equilibrium concepts. Below, I attached the outline for the Acids&Bases unit.

I don't think so. I think that's what we start with in 14B.

As far as the textbook problems go, I think we just have to understand that K(a or eq) is calculated by [products]/[reactants]. Like the others have said, we will continue in 14B.
