Bronsted Acid and Base

Postby Rosselyn_Machado_2B » Sun Dec 10, 2023 4:38 pm

Hi,
I was wondering if someone can explain how it is you figure out if a molecule could act as a bronsted acid or base? Identifying has been a bit tricky for me. Thank you!

In short, a Bronsted acid is a substance that releases protons (H+) when dissolved in water, while a Bronsted base is a substance that accepts protons while dissolved in water.
