Bronsted Acid and Base vs Lewis Acid and Base
Can someone explain to me the relationship between Bronsted acid/base and Lewis acid/base?

Bronsted definition: an acid is a proton (H+ ion) donor, and a base is a proton acceptor.
Lewis definition: an acid is an electron acceptor, and a base is an electron donor.

To add on to the previous response, a Lewis acid is an electron PAIR acceptor, and a lewis base is a electron PAIR donor.

- Bronsted acids are proton donor
- Bronsted bases are proton acceptor
Lewis: e-
- Lewis acids are e- acceptor and they accept a lone pair
- Lewis bases are e- donor and the donate a lone pair
- Bronsted acids are proton donor
- Bronsted bases are proton acceptor
