Strong/Weak Acid/Base

Postby Sally kim 4F » Sun Dec 01, 2019 5:43 pm

Can someone list the strong/weak acids and bases that we should already know or have memorized?

I don't think we necessarily have to memorize any strong acids and bases because Lavelle said that if it is a weak acid or base then we will get a Ka or Kb in the problem and that will be an indicator that it is weak. Otherwise, if there is no equilibrium constant in the equation, then we assume it dissociates completely and is thus "strong"

The strong acid I see most often is HCl!
