HClO3 Strong Acid
I took a look at the list of Strong Acids/Bases included in the Sapling HW and there's a note beside HClO3. It states "Some sources classify HClO3 as a weak acid. Check with your textbook or instructor to determine how to classify this acid.". Just to clarify HClO3 is still considered a strong acid to us right and why wouldn't it be considered a strong acid?
Re: HClO3 Strong Acid
Yes, and I'm not exactly sure. Maybe it's less strong than the other strong acids so others might consider it a weak acid.

It really depends. When I was in AP chem, my teacher told us to only think of a few acids as strong acids and all others as weak, but I don't know if that's entirely accurate!

This is really confusing. I think it is because of the three oxygens attached.

I had this question too. I was thinking that it was a strong acid but that note confused me so I'm not 100% sure.
