Bronsted Acids and Bases
I'm still really confused about understanding Bronsted acids and bases? What's a trick I can use to remember them or learn them so I don't forget during the final?

Something that might help is to think of Bronsted bases as "borrowing" protons from the Bronsted acid that is donating them.

Bronsted acid is the proton donor while bronsted base is proton acceptor.
Just think like Lewis acid and base. Lewis acid accepts(bot starts with a) electron, and because Bronsted acid is proton donor, it means that it lacks electron, thus accept electron as well.

I use this to help me remember:
Bronsted Acid is Proton Donor (BAPD)
Bronsted Base is Proton Acceptor (BBPA)
and then for Lewis definitions:
Lewis Acids are Electron Acceptors (LAEA)
Lewis Bases are Electron Donors (LBED)
*I put weird words to help me remember like Los Angeles Electron Asooscation and Long Beach Electron Department but you can put whatever words help you remember lol

An an earlier comment mentioned, what helps me is thinking that a Bronsted Base borrows a proton whereas a Bronsted Acids donates protons. With that being said, the opposite can be said where a Lewis acid can be said to accept electrons whereas a Lewis Base donates electrons.

A Bronsted base "borrows" a proton whereas a Bronsted acid donates a proton.

Calling something a Bronsted base is the same as saying it is a Lewis base, but instead of saying that it donates e- (Lewis definition), we say it accepts protons. Hope that helps!
