Draw the Lewis structure for each of the following species and identify each as a Lewis acid or Lewis base:
a) NH3
b) BF3
c) Ag+
d) F-
e) H-

How do we determine whether it's acid / base, based on Lewis structure?

To determine whether something is a Lewis acid/base from the structure, identify whether there are regions where there's an incomplete octet or where there's an extra lone pair. Lewis acids, by definition, accept lone pairs so they'll be structures that can accommodate an additional lone pair. In contrast, Lewis acids will have an extra lone-pair since, by definition, they're electron pair donors.
