Acid reactions

Postby Anna Nordstrom 1A » Sun Nov 29, 2015 1:30 pm

Will the reaction of a strong acid always result in H3O+ and the conjugate base or are there exceptions?

Yes, if the substance is a strong acid then it will always completely dissociate and the products will be H3O+ and the conjugate base. As long as it is truly a strong acid there are not exceptions.
