Hi,

I'm confused about this question. In the products, I'm confused when there is supposed to be an H3O+ and when there is supposed to be a OH-.

It depends on if the reactant is an anion/weak base or a cation/weak acid. So for a you have NaC6H5O or you can also say C6H5O-. This is an anion and weak base so it will take a proton from the water to and leave OH-.
For c you have C6H5O+ which is a cation, therefore weak acid in this case so it will lose its proton and H3O+ will form.
