Re: Weak Acids/Bases
Conjugate bases/acids of strong acids/bases are considered weak because they are much more stable and therefore not very reactive. On the other hand, conjugate bases/acids of weak acids/bases are considered strong and far less stable and therefore far more reactive.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
The conjugate acids and bases of corresponding weak acids and bases are strong. This is because of the fact that they are highly unstable and therefore very reactive.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
yas like everyone said, the conjugates of a strong acid/base will be weak, and the conjugates of a weak acid/base will be strong
Re: Weak Acids/Bases
Basically, C of a strong acid/base will be weak, and the C a weak acid/base will be strong

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
The conjugate of anything that is strong, whether it is a base or acid, is going to be a weak acid or base. Similarly, the conjugate of anything that is weak, base or acid, is going to end up being a strong base or acid.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
Hello! The conjugate of a weak acid is a strong base and the conjugate of a weak base is a strong acid.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
Conjugate of a weak base is a strong acid and the conjugate of a strong acid is a weak base. The stronger the base/acid, the weaker its respective conjugate acid/base.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
Hi, the conjugate of a weak acid is a strong base and the conjugate of a weak base is a strong acid. The weaker an acid/base is, the stronger its conjugate is.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
The conjugate of the weak acids and bases are normally quite strong in comparison to the weakness of the weak acids and bases.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
They are oppositely related. So the CB of a weak acid would be relatively strong compared to the acid. Same for the other way around
Re: Weak Acids/Bases
If an acid is strong, the conjugate base is relatively weak. If a base is strong, the conjugate acid is weak.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
The conjugate will be the opposite of what you have. If you have a strong acid/base the conjugate will be a weak acid/base and vice versa. How weak or strong the conjugate is depends directly in the strength of the original.

Re: Weak Acids/Bases
The conjugate of an acid or base changes the acid or base from strong to weak or weak to strong
