Textbook problem 6D5 (d)

Postby Lillian Ott 3D » Thu Jan 26, 2023 3:14 pm

For part d of this textbook problem, the percent protonation I got for my answer was 2.5%, but the textbook answer key says the percent protonation should be 1.5%. Could this be a typo? What answer are other people getting, and if it is 2.5 not 1.5%, then why/how are you getting this as the answer?

Please see solution manual: 6D.5 (d) % protonation = (1.09 x 10-4)/(0.0073) x 100%, which should = 1.5%, but the answer is
incorrectly typed as 2.5%.
