How do you interpret Kw?

Does the Kw essentially mean that the stronger an acid is, the weaker it's conjugate base is? For example, HCl would have a very weak Cl- base.

Kw is the equilibrium constant for the proton transfer reaction between two water molecules.
I will discuss this in detail in Chem 14B.
