### Assumption for Subtracting X in Ka or Kb calculation

For ICE charts we make, what is the reasoning for why we assume there is little change (so little that it is negligible) if Ka is small?

since the x value will be so small then it will most likely not change the concentration of the reactants such as Professor Lavelle mentioned in class where if you have 1 million dollars and take away a dollar you still pretty much have 1 million dollars.

Make sure to not assume that x=0 though!

the x value is so small compared to the concentration that the change is negligible for when you're calculating x
