### pKa and pKb uses

What's the point of calculating pKa and pKb? I understand that they can determine the relative strength of an acid/base, but isn't that possible by just using Ka and Kb?

I have the same question. Also if anyone has an equalization example problem that would be great :)

It is sort of a relationship between going from one to another. Remember that when there is a p in front of the value it means that there is a -log. pKa is the -log of Ka. It is for when the problem may provide one and you have to get to the other.
