You will be given a Ka or pKa for weak acids. You'll get a Kb or pKb for weak bases! You use them to compare their relative strengths to one another.

i think for 14A, you only need to know how to calculate those values. In 14B, you can use those values in calculations and potentially get other values such as pH from Ka and pKa, but for now you don't need to worry about that.

Ka is the dissociation constant and it shows how easily acids dissociate ([H+][anion]/[H-A]). The higher the Ka, the stronger the acid. PKa = -log[Ka]. The higher the PKa, the weaker the acid.

pKa and Ka are used to help determine which acid is stronger than the other. They are called the dissociation constant
