Final Review: connecting Ka with pKa

Postby Megan Verschuur 1C » Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:48 pm

Hi. I know that an increase in the Ka means a decrease in the pKa, and that it would indicate a strong acid. Does anyone know what types of questions on the final could be asked in regards to this topic?

I would assume the only questions regarding the relationship between Ka and pKa would ask you to determine which of the following acids or bases are strongest given their pKa or Ka value.
If I remember correctly, there was a question on MT1 which asked you to determine the strongest Conjugate Base given the pKa values of certain molecules.
