Textbook Problem 6C #17

Postby Alyssa Ly 2G » Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:15 pm

Hello!

"Which is the stronger base, the hypobromite ion, BrO−, or morphine, C17H19O3N? Justify your answer."

For this problem, the answer key explains to us how to figure out the solution using Kb values. However, the Kb values of these bases aren't given in the actual problem. For the final exam, would we be expected to know/memorize some of the Kb values? Or would they be given to us?

Thank you!

They would be given.
As stated in class, I will give constants.
