Calculating Ka and PKA hw 12(57)

Postby Kiara1F » Mon Jul 25, 2016 3:52 pm

For this particular problem i don't understand how they got .10-0.06 in the denominator. Shouldn't it just be .10 since thats the reactant? Did they do an equilibrium table?
The problem:
: When t he pH of of.10M HCLO2was measured it was found to have a pH of 1.2. What are the KA and PKA values?"

I believe it's because when you do the ICE table, it's (x^2)/(0.10 - x) and x should be the 0.06
