12.55

Postby mitalisharma2B » Sat Dec 09, 2017 8:41 pm

My answer has been off multiple times when trying to complete 12.55. I'm not sure if it is just because I am plugging into the quadratic formula incorrectly. Please elaborate on how you completed this problem.

Calculate the pH, pOH, and percentage deprotonation
of each of the following aqueous solutions: (a) 0.20 m
CH3COOH(aq); (b) 0.20 m CCl3COOH(aq); (c) 0.20 m
HCOOH(aq). (d) Explain any differences in pH on the basis of
molecular structure.
