pH calculations on Final

Postby 404975170 » Wed Jun 06, 2018 2:24 pm

Will we have to do pH calculations on the final using the -log equation based on a concentration we are given? I know there are homework questions concerning calculations but we some UA’s have said there will be calculations on the final while others have said not to worry about it.

I'm pretty sure we have to know the basics. Like if we are given that the concentration of an acid is 1.0 x 10-9 we would know the pH is 9. Beyond that, I don't think professor Lavelle indicated we would have to know more.

Yea I am a bit worried as to what we need to know about the calculations as well. I thought I heard him say in class that the calculations are part of chem 14B but I might have misunderstood.
