Negative pH?
is it ever possible to get a negative pH? if so could someone explain how this could happen?

Since Dr Lavelle said that the regular range of pH is 0-14, that suggests that negative pH or pH greater than 14 would be possible, just unlikely

Since the equation to calculate the pH is -log, the negative sign ensures that the value of pH is positive.

It is possible when there is a strong acid with a molar concentration greater than 1 mol/L.

Dr. Lavelle said there are such things as super acids and bases. The super bases can have pH values greater than 14 and super acids can have pH values below 0.
