Strong Acids
What are the strong acids and why are they so much better at donating protons than other molecules?

Re: Strong Acids
Strong acids are acids that completely dissociate to completion (100%). These acids include HCl, HBr, HI, HNO3, H2SO4, and HClO4. They are strong acids because the have weak bonds and are able to dissociate completely which allows them to donate a proton.
Re: Strong Acids
Why do the halogens form the strong acids? Why would they have the weakest bonds if they have the smallest atomic radius in each period?

Re: Strong Acids
Strong acids are able to completely dissociate in a solution to donate their protons. Most strong acids are inorganic.
