Strong acids and bases

Postby Donavin Collins 1F » Wed Dec 04, 2019 4:47 pm

Is there an equation or method for knowing if an acid or base is strong? Or is there just a set list of strong acids and bases? If so, does anyone know where i can find that list? :)

Yes, there's a list. You can google it, but here's the one I use.

As well as memorizing the list of strong bases, it's helpful to know that the hydroxides of group 1 and 2 metals are usually considered to be strong bases.
